Idaho Smokehouse Partners, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), initiated the recall of approximately 29,541 pounds of “Chomps Original Beef Stick Mild” following two consumer complaints about metal contamination. The affected beef sticks were produced between January 13 and January 15, 2025, and distributed to retailers in California and Illinois. While no injuries have been reported, the FSIS warns that some of these recalled items may still be lurking in consumers’ pantries.
